Thanks to the XDA Forum for sharing the trick to permanently use desktop mode on Chrome for Android. Let’s take a look.
For Rooted Users:
- First of all, you have to download the chrome-command-line.txt file and remove the (.txt) extension while saving on your computer.
- Then paste it into the /data/local/ path (root directory of your device). Use ES File Explorer app.
- Now, long press on the file and it will open Properties option > select Change and set the file permission to 755. [set read, write, execute for User and read, execute for Group & Other]
- Restart the Google Chrome app on your device and you’re done.

For Non-Rooted Users:
- First, you have to install ADB & Fastboot on your computer.
- Now, open the command prompt via ADB and type the following line & hit enter button.
- That’s it. Reboot your device and open the Chrome app and you can now browse webpages in desktop mode by default.
